OSI - Vendor Improvements

Mitglied-306607.06.2003, 08:49 Uhr

  • More storage: Vendors will continue taking up the same amount of storage slots as per the normal AoS rules. However, all houses will be given around 15% more storage slots to better accommodate their vendors. “Maximum vendors per house” limits will also be introduced, but they will be fair limits that are based upon the size/existing lockdown capacity of the house.
  • New “shop” classification: Players will be able to set their houses as a “shop” as a new type of “public” house classification. Although similar in basic function to public houses, these new shops will sacrifice some decorative lockdowns to gain extra vendor storage and an in-house runestone marking system allowing players to Recall off a “vendor rune” without fear of ending up in a dungeon (for example).
  • Bulletin Boards: House owners will be able to use these new items to maintain closer communication with their friends, neighbors, guildmates, customers, and even rivals. Any house type can have a bulletin board, but each house may only have one bulletin board.
  • Vendor location rentals: A new contract feature will allow public and shop house owners to rent out vendor locations for limited periods of time. Players will no longer have to page Game Masters to remove empty or non-trafficked vendors.
  • Grandfathered Vendors: Recently grandfathered vendors will cease to exist in favor of the new vendor system. Any items currently on those grandfathered vendors will be able to be claimed by their respective owners within a certain time frame after the new vendor changes are implemented. (Note: vendors not currently attached to a house will vanish, dropping their loot on the ground for any passers-by to take.)
  • Vendor access: Vendor owners may access their vendor control panel from the house sign via a context menu. Shoppers may also access vendors located anywhere within a house from a house sign context menu.
  • Vendor upkeep: Murderers will no longer be required to pay extra upkeep charges.
